Privacy policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
HQ Studios LLC ("HQ Studios", "we", "us") makes HAQ, a YouTube production app, and runs this website. This policy explains what we collect on hqstudios.co and in the HAQ app at agency.hqstudios.co, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
On this website
- Early-access requests. When you request access, we keep the email address you enter, which form you used and when you sent it.
- Server logs. Our hosting providers record standard request details, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you load, to run and protect the site.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when you visit.
This website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
In the HAQ app
- Account details: your name, email address and password, which we store only as a secure hash.
- Workspace content: what you and your team add, such as channel links, ideas, scripts, outlines, titles, thumbnails, photos, video files, review comments and settings.
- YouTube data: public information about the channels and videos you track, such as titles, thumbnails, view counts and publish dates, gathered through YouTube API Services and other public sources.
- A connected YouTube channel: if you connect a channel so HAQ can publish to it, we keep the channel's ID, name, handle and profile picture, the Google sign-in that lets HAQ upload to it (encrypted), and a record of each upload, such as its title, description, tags, privacy setting, schedule and the status YouTube reports back.
- Billing details: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan and billing status, never your full card number.
- Sign-in and technical data: cookies that keep you signed in, and logs such as IP address, device and error details that help us keep HAQ working and secure.
How we use it
- To run HAQ for you: your workspaces, the ideas, scripts and thumbnails it generates, and the tracking of how your videos perform.
- To answer early-access requests and set up workspaces.
- To send service emails, such as invitations, password resets and digests.
- To bill for paid plans.
- To keep HAQ secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
AI features
Some HAQ features send the content involved, such as a video's title, transcript, script or images, to AI model providers to produce results. These providers process it for us under their API terms. We currently use Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek and Replicate.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run HAQ, and only what they need:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, Railway, Supabase and Cloudflare.
- Email delivery: Resend.
- Payments: Stripe.
- AI model providers: listed above.
- Data services that fetch public YouTube and web content for features you use.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy keeps applying to it.
YouTube API Services
HAQ uses YouTube API Services. By using HAQ, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
When you connect a YouTube channel in HAQ's settings, you sign in with Google and allow HAQ to:
- Upload videos to that channel and set their thumbnails. HAQ uploads only when someone with full access to the workspace presses Publish.
- See the channel's YouTube account. HAQ uses this to confirm which channel you connected, check the status of the videos it uploaded, check whether an interrupted upload already finished, and copy the description and tags from your latest video when you ask.
We use this access only for these features. We don't use it for advertising, we don't sell it, and we share it only with the service providers that host HAQ. HAQ's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
To remove HAQ's access, press Disconnect in HAQ's settings. That deletes the sign-in we stored for that workspace. You can also revoke HAQ's access at any time on the Google security settings page.
How long we keep it
We keep account and workspace content while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its content, apart from records we must keep for legal or billing reasons and backup copies that expire on their own. We keep early-access requests until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
- Email hello@hqstudios.co to get a copy of your information, or to have it corrected or deleted.
- Update your account details in HAQ's settings.
- Ask us to stop non-essential emails, such as digests.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you other rights. We honor them as the law requires.
Browsers' Do Not Track signals don't change how this site works, because it doesn't track you across other sites.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and limited access within our team. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
HAQ is for businesses and creators. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For significant changes, we also tell signed-in users in HAQ or by email.
